World farmers call for animal identification and traceability systems adapted to their needs

In recent years, efforts have been conducted to trace products of animal origin throughout the entire food chain, and many initiatives are ongoing to implement systems of identification and traceability of farm animals. In addition to more developed and mandatory systems that include individual ear tags, passports, registers and central databases, the approaches for animal identification and traceability differ widely around the world.
