Role of the Executive Committee

The Executive Committee:

  • Keeps under review the activities of IFAP (policy activities; representational activities), membership questions, and the financial position of the Federation.
  • Deals with all matters referred to it by the General Conference.
  • Appoints a Secretary General and approves senior staff appointments made by the Secretary General.
  • Appoints members of the Finance and Budget Committee
  • The Executive Committee has power, without prior reference to the General Conference, to take action on behalf of the Federation, but only on matters on which the Federation has established a policy.
