Rural Women's Day 2010![]() The world should promote food security of their populations by encouraging farmers and women farmers adopting sustainable agriculture practices. A sustainable future is built on a good balance between social justice, human rights, the protection of and respect for the environment and economic development. Therefore, IFAP calls on national governments and international decision-makers to create an enabling environment that fully develops and sustains women’s capacities in rural areas.
